Muslim prayer beads with 99-bead count. A dense tamarind wood tasbih made with contoured-shape polished 8x9-mm beads. This wood is from the dark brown core of old Asian tamarind fruit trees. Handcrafted on a small cottage-industry scale, the craftsmanship of these prayer beads is detailed and unique. This tasbih manually buffed to a shine without using any oils or lacquers. These Muslim prayer beads, also called a sibha, misbaha, subha, dhikr beads, feature an extra 10-bead counter, 2 ornamental dividers, and a movable space marker. The beads are strung on virtually unbreakable nylon cord that is made up of 12 woven strands. It has a beautifully lathed 2-inch long alif (imam) bead which is 10-mm thick at the widest point and 6-mms at the thinnest. The ends above the alif and on the place-marker are decorated with ornamental stops. This Islamic tasbih has a 30-inch circumference so it is large enough to go over the head.
