Beautiful sterling silver Islamic Jawshan Kabir Dua pendant, also known as a Taviz or talisman. This amulet or locket pendant features a small glass vial containing the famous Jawshan Kabeer Dua or prayer in Arabic (Cevşen-i Kebir in Turkish). It is encased with sterling silver.

What is Jawshan Kabeer?

Believed by some Muslims to provide protection with God’s permission, this dua was given to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) by the angel Gabriel before a significant battle in early Islamic history. Jawshan Kabeer Dua Pendant (Arabic: جوشن الكبیر‎) contains a long Islamic prayer consisting of 1000 different names and attributes of God. The name "Jawshan" means "steel plate" or "mail of armor," referencing Muhammad's heavy armor in battle and the divine protection provided by this unique and beautiful divine dua. Design

The small scroll inside this Jawshan Kabeer Dua Pendant is rolled up and placed inside the glass vial, which is made of special hardened blown glass which is NOT openable. It is enclosed in an antique-finished sterling silver casing. The pendant measures approximately 1-3/8 x 3/8" (3.5cm x 1cm) and is sold without a chain in this listing. The bail can accommodate chains or cords up to 3mm thick.

Craftsmanship

Designed and crafted in Turkey by Muslims, this Jawshan Kabeer Dua Pendant should be worn with care and respect. The dual is inserted into glass vial and then sealed. The glass vial is made to fit perfectly into the sterling silver casing which is then capped on the bottom. The cap is marked with 925 denoting that this it meets the global standard of sterling silver jewelry.
