This is a beautiful antique-finished sterling silver talisman or Taviz locket pendant. Inside the glass vial is the famous Arabic script Jawshan Kabeer Dua or Cevşen-i Kebir which is believed to be worn for protection with God’s permission. The title means (Body Armor) and this dua was given to the Prophet (SAW) by angel Gibril or Gabriel upon departing for one of the large battles that took place in the early days of Islam’s inception. This small scroll is rolled up and put inside the glass pendant. This talisman pendant is NOT openable. It is made with a special hardened blown glass. The pendant measures approximately 1-3/8 x 3/8" (3.5cm x 1cm). This pendant is sold alone without a chain. The bail is large enough for chains up to 3mm in thickness. We sell chains separately in our store so that you can choose your own style or length. Comes in a small silver foil gift box for US and Canada customers. This Muslim jewelry pendant is designed and crafted in Turkey by Muslims. It should be worn with care and respect. What is Jawshan Kabir? Jawshan Kabeer (Arabic: جوشن الكبیر) is a long Islamic prayer that contains 1000 names and attributes of God. Jawshan means "steel plate" or "mail of armor" and thus the name of the prayer refers to Muhammad's heavy armor in battle. As this dua was given to him by angel Gabriel from Allah, informing him that this dua or invocation was better than any armor. This Arabic pendant can be worn with a cord or chain. We suggest using the box-chain or rope chain with this Islamic pendant because they are very sturdy. Thank you for considering our Islamic pendant.
