About the Artist
Ali Hasan Conway (rahmatullah ‘alayh) was a Sufi painter, calligrapher, and teacher whose life and art were shaped by a journey through spiritual communities in the US, Costa Rica, the UK, the Dominican Republic, and Indonesia. Working across traditional and digital media, his art was deeply rooted in devotion and spiritual beauty. In his final year, he fulfilled a sacred vow to create a new digital calligraphy of the Name of Allah every day, completing 390 works before his passing in 2011, all guided by his wish that his art be a lasting source of joy for those who encounter it.
